Introduction
Ezaalah, operated by 4 SYSTEMS Digital Solutions ("Company," "we," "our," "us"), complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This Statement explains how we protect and handle student education records and personal information when schools, districts, parents, or students use our Service.
This Statement should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Data Processing Agreement, and Acceptable Use Policy.
Definition of Student Data
For purposes of FERPA, "Student Data" includes:
- Audio or video recordings that may include student voices, images, or names.
- Personal identifiers such as names, email addresses, or student IDs if provided in account setup.
- Any other information linked to an identifiable student that a school or parent uploads.
Use of Student Data
We use Student Data only to provide the Service (removing background music to produce clear instructional content).
We do not:
- Sell Student Data.
- Share Student Data with advertisers or use it for marketing.
- Build student profiles or track behavior unrelated to educational purposes.
Disclosure of Student Data
- Student Data is not disclosed to third parties except for trusted Subprocessors that support the operation of Ezaalah (e.g., hosting, storage, processing services).
- All Subprocessors are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations consistent with FERPA and our DPA.
- We do not disclose Student Data to law enforcement or other entities unless legally required.
Ownership & Control
- Schools, districts, and parents retain full ownership and control over Student Data.
- We act only as a service provider/processor on behalf of the school or parent.
- Requests for access, correction, or deletion of Student Data must come from the school or parent, and we will comply without undue delay.
Security Measures
We implement industry-standard safeguards to protect Student Data, including:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest.
- Access controls to limit access to authorized personnel only.
- Secure hosting and infrastructure through trusted providers (see DPA).
Retention & Deletion
- Uploaded and processed files are automatically deleted after [X days] of order completion.
- Schools and parents may request immediate deletion of Student Data by contacting us.
- Upon termination of an account or contract, all Student Data will be deleted or returned as directed.
Parental Rights
- Under FERPA, parents (or eligible students aged 18 or older) have the right to access, review, and request corrections to education records.
- Ezaalah supports these rights by assisting schools and parents in fulfilling FERPA obligations.
